Recently had a consultation with Mr Spink, he was extremely explanatory and put me at total ease. He was most reassuring and professional at all times.

Was recommended by Mr D. Almond was seen quickly, very friendly and a good two way conversation. Could have had a rhalittle more advice on how to manage my condition, but overall a clear conversation.

Mr Spink operated on my spine in June 2020, specifically L4/5 Spondylolisthesis. As with any operation, in the first few months you wonder how good the recovery will be but i can honestly recommend the operation, especially under Mr Spink. The pain i experienced pre-op went immediately, and although recovery is quick at first, i am still noticing minor improvements nearly a year after the op. i cannot recommend Mr Spink highly enough.

I met Mr Spink during the first lockdown via a Zoom consultation. He explained that the only surgical method of stabilising my neck was an ACDF. He explained the risks and benefits of the procedure to me carefully. My husband was listening in - we talked about it and decided that if I did not have the surgery, given my lifestyle, I was at risk anyway of breaking my neck, which could well leave me paralysed anyway. I have a very active life style which involves 3 dogs (disobedient lurchers, whose favourite trick is to run away in 3 different directions, leaving me to wait until they come home. Sometimes they decide not to come back at all...). So we decided to go ahead with the surgery ASAP. There was a delay because of COVID, but the surgery went ahead on April 1st. So far, the results have been amazing, although there is still a lot of pain, which Mr Spink predicted. My entire posture has changed, and I am slowly re-arranging my life because of it.
