I found Mr Edward Britton to be very approachable and easy to talk to, he takes time to explain options/procedures, is willing to answer as many questions as you want and listens to any concerns you might have. He combines being professional with a friendly approach and a sense of humour. You do feel that you are a real person to him, not just another patient with a problem and you never feel rushed. I had complete confidence and trust in undergoing a total knee replacement operation under Mr Britton, which was a total success and I look forward to being able to play tennis again... Anything that needs organising, ie. a change of appointment is easy to do via phone or email with Mr Britton's excellent secretary, Catherine who always responds promptly. Appointments always ran just about on time give or take a few minutes, the hospital is clean and comfortable with a very nice atmosphere. Parking is plentiful and free, and all the staff are warm, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Mr Edward Britton and his team - thank you so much.

It is with great pleasure that I share my experience of having two 'Total Knee Replacements' under Mr Britton's care. I have found his professionalism at all times in engaging with me through listening and offering clear explanations, has enabled me to make informed decisions. Mr Britton is able to make you feel relaxed and confident in the care he provides which is important when facing major surgery. On admission prior to surgery he gave time to talk through any last minute concerns or worries and likewise post operatively, he was available to visit and discuss how things went ensuring that you were comfortable. I would recommend Mr Britton as an excellent Orthopaedic Surgeon and I feel privileged to have been under his care.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first came to see Mr Britton. He fully explained all the options that were open to me so that I was able to understand the procedure and make an informed choice. My appointment for surgery arrived sooner than I expected, which was lovely. Mr Britton came to see me on the ward, and again explained what would happen, and gave me another opportunity to ask questions. After surgery he came to see me again for a chat about how I was feeling, and did I have any questions. My post operative appointment was 5 weeks after surgery, and we had a full discussion about my operation, looked at the xrays, and again I was able to ask questions. Mr Britton has a very friendly disposition and gives the impression that he has all the time in the world to spend with a patient. Throughout my time spent with Mr Britton, I felt really at ease and cared for. I cannot think of any ways that my experience could have been improved on at all, the whole experience, especially the great outcome of my surgery exceeded my expectations.

Mr Edward Britton carried out a partial knee replacement for me, his treatment was amazing. I had my treatment at 8.30am and by 3pm I was out of bed walking with sticks. I was allowed home the next day.I had my 6 week check up yesterday with Mr Britton he showed me pictures of what had been replaced and explained everything I needed to know to aid my recovery. I cannot express my appreciation for all he and his wonderful staff have done for me, they were all kind, helpful, professional, I am forever in his debt.
