Mr Britton has provided my daughter with care and great professionalism. Through two operations, he has made us feel very reassured at every stage and addressed / answered all of our questions and concerns. He has taken the time at each appointment, no doubt in an extremely pressurised role to explain medical procedures / operation details / recovery expectations to both my 16 year old daughter and myself and husband for which, we were very grateful. Mr Britton went above and beyond in providing after care support for my daughter. Liaising with her school to make sure she had the best chance in regards to sitting her GCSE exams a week after her operation. Mr Britton is a credit to his profession and the NHS.

Before the operation I was told everything that was going to be done and how the procedure was to go. After care has been spot on. Again everything is perfect. Back to exercising.

I found that Mr Britton was very approachable. He listened to my questions and was truthful with his answers. The operation itself... he took great care with the cosmetic of the incision. Everything was explained to me in simple terms, so I fully understood what the operation had entailed.

This was my first experience of hospital /operations since the age of 3 . At the age of 54 I required a full right hip replacement. The thought not so much of the procedure but the general anaesthetic terrified me . Mr Britton from the onset fully explained the procedure , reassured me of my fears and gave me an alternative option to the general of a spinal and sedation . He said if he was to have a new hip he would opt for this . I took this option . From the beginning of my procedure the ward staff , theatre staff , anaesthetist and Mr Britton were reassuring, considerate , caring and if I wanted anything explaining nothing was to much trouble . I was in and out of theatre in under an hour and a half with no after effects of a general anaesthetic and back in my private room tucking into soup and a sandwich . Within 24 hours I was up and walking with two sticks and out of hospital in 48 hours . The care for those 48 hours was second to none , catering staff , physios, reception and the people I mentioned earlier. Follow up visits to the physio and Mr Britton at Nuffield York ensued ,again nothing but high praise . Well within a year back to skiing and golf

Due to having both of my operations during covid, I expected my care by Mr Britton to be slightly different. This was not the case. I was well looked after and check on regularly, in a very friendly way. Things might have been different in some way without the covid problems but I was happy with my treatment.
