It has been a pleasure to be under Mr Makki’s care. I tore my pec major on 11 May 2021 and was in surgery by 13 May 2021. Mr Makki explained the injury clearly and the procedure to repair the injury, including recovery time. Since discharge Mr Makki has always reassured me with the healing process, particularly in the 6-8 weeks following the operation where there was a lot of weeping from the wound which didn’t look like stopping. He also been thorough in checking the healing process, undertaking an ultrasound at 8 weeks and showing me the results in real time. I have made good progress and am now at 3 months post-op and looking forward to resuming normal activities. Thank you for a textbook experience.

He made me feel comfortable and at ease when discussing my problems. Explained my condition and suitable treatment available to me in a way that I could easily understand, together with follow up appointments necessary. He treated each hand in successive appointments and a further follow up appointment has been made to check on how I have reacted to the treatment

How can one say thank you to the surgeon who - with extraordinary skill and dexterity - replaced my shattered shoulder with an implant. I refer to Mr ” Magic” Makki with the magic hands. He is a perfect combination of being approachable ~ confident - decisive - interested and compassionate someone so special he is able to absorb people’s pain and anxieties without losing focus. He is the ultimate resilient professional with a core set of values who treated me as a human being when I was traumatised ~ frightened and emotionally in pieces It’s the little things that matter to most people. One tiny incident springs to mind. He was explaining to me how best to sleep comfortably with a sling on my injured arm and picking up a pillow placed it beside me not just leaving it in situ but punching a large indentation in the centre allowing my arm to sink down that little bit more, trying to provide maximum pain-free comfort. It was the “indentation “ that got me. Unlucky to have had my accident, but lucky to fall into the hands of the brilliant Mr. Makkie Thank you for being the best Doctor for me Myrna Elliott

I cannot express enough on the excellent service I have received from Dr Makki and his team. He operated a four corner fusion on my hand, which I am so truly grateful for as I am now so free of a 24/7 pain. Dr Makki and his team have gone all out to help me as much as they can and for this I will be always grateful. Susan Trill
