During my consult, Dr. Gnanachandran made sure I understood what the condition I have really is and every aspect of his diagnosis, explained all options in great detail in a comforting and reassuring way. He put great emphasis on what I wanted and what I was comfortable doing as a next step from the options presented.

I received exemplary care from Mr Gnanachandran and his team at Northampton General Hospital. I could not have wished for greater care. Mr Gnanachandran explained my options in great depth, without too much jargon, so that I understood the procedure and what to expect afterwards. He was very reassuring and I had great faith in him as my surgeon. I underwent a Laparoscopic Total Hysterectomy and BSO. Thank you to everyone who was involved in my care pre and post op.

Had a Hysteroscopy and biopsy procedure this morning, following a consultation a few weeks ago. Options for anaesthetic were clearly discussed and I’m very glad that I went for the recommended local. The procedure was only very slightly more uncomfortable than a routine smear test and meant that I was back home within an hour of going through the Theatre door. Was kept informed all the way through the procedure as to what he was doing and the outcome (I declined the offer of watching it all happening on a screen - personal choice!) Very happy with Dr Gnanachandran’s care (and humour to help put me at ease - always a good thing in nervous situations) Would thoroughly recommend both him and a local anaesthetic.

Gnanchandran was amazing, right from day one he was able to put my mind at rest and to help my partner overcome.his fears about my surgery too. On the day of surgery he smiled the biggest of smiles and said that I would.feel.so much better once he had done my surgery. He was absolutely right, the surgery was longer than expected but has was able.to work around.the complications including my ovary being attached to my bowel and fibroids, endometriosis and adenomysosis. My recovery was very quick too and I was back in work after two weeks . Thank you Gnanachandran, I feel.like a new woman.

I cannot express how pleased I have been with my pre op and post op care under Mr Gnanachandran. His manner and the time he took to explain details of the procedures available to me relaxed and filled me with confidence. My eventual options were limited but I had total belief that Mr Gnanachandran would have my best interests at heart and that he would take the best possible care of me. A few hours after recovery Mr Gnanachandran came to see me on the ward to explain what he had been able to do during the operation. The following day he was on leave but he assured me that he would try to visit to see how I was. The following morning he visited just before 8am. 6 weeks on from the operation I am back doing a demanding job in a special school. I feel amazing and feel that I have my life back. I feel exceptionally fortunate to have been treated by such a gifted surgeon, Mr Gnanachandran, and cannot thank him enough for instilling such confidence.
