Re: Right TKR 28/04/2026 Mr Bobby Anand, the knee clinic team and all staff at North Downs Surrey Knee Clinic gave excellent, professional and friendly care. From my perspective the entire procedure was carried out very smoothly and efficiently. The anaesthetist has my congratulations for a completely pain free procedure. The replacement recovery period was much less painful than expected, aided by excellent nurses and physiotherapists. The room comfort and meals/ refreshments were delicious. At this relatively early point of 6 weeks of recovery without complication, I am well, without pain, with 110%+ degrees of flexion and near complete extension. Right Quads remain slightly sore with very mild, variable swelling of the knee. The incision scar is hardly noticeable and incredibly neat due to the decision to apply Ziplock ties. Moreover, my right varus deformity has been corrected skillfully. I continue with a programme of daily exercises in the hope of making a full recovery to normal walking, without aids. Thank you all at North Downs for your expertise and to all those who assisted.

Another success for me with relief from the discomfort and pain within a week after the injection procedure. Before the injections, my knee was painful when sleeping in certain positions but not at all now. Both knees can still feel fragile at times when twisted in certain ways but everything is manageable without taking regular pain relief. I continue to enjoy walking a golf course 2/3 times a week and playing Padel Tennis after warming up in the gym another couple of times a week. Thank you for allowing me to continue an active lifestyle despite these knee issues and I will be in touch when I need to.

I had a partial knee replacement under the care of Mr Bobby Anand in December 2025. My target date for return to golf was my Majorca trip with 23 Tandridge Golf Club colleagues in mid-March. I am delighted to say I was able to play 4 rounds of golf with no pain in my right knee, for the first time in some 6 months. There was no swelling after the rounds of golf and only a slight discomfort at night. The wound has healed beautifully, and the scar will very soon disappear for good. I just wanted to say a big thank you for looking after me.

Dr Anand performed surgery on my daughter who is 15, for an acl reconstruction. From the first time Bobby met my daughter he put her at ease straight away, was very informative, and explained everything. The operation was smooth and quick. Would highly recommend Mr Anand,

I finally took the plunge to have the knee op after 2 people both independently recommended him. On the 5th January 2026 I had a partial knee with the aid of computer aided surgery as I was on the cusp of needing a full knee. It has been a great experience. At our first meeting he was reassuring, competent and highly experienced. His care, skill and expertise throughout the whole process has been excellent. After only a couple of days at home I was reducing my painkillers and in week not taking them at all. Now walking and cycling up to 2 hours. The knee feels like it did when I was young: solid, reliable and strong. I cannot recommend Bobby highly enough.

Had a total knee replacement 5 Jan undertaken by Bobby Anand - he’d been recommended by a family member and another ex patient. I’d been putting off the inevitable, my knee was beyond repair but had some trepidation. Mr Anand has been excellent, explaining what was to come and the possible range of outcomes along with potential pain levels. He is personable, instils confidence and is clearly highly experienced. Whilst I’m only at the six week stage I’m delighted at the progress so far with better mobility than before the op. Already I know I made an excellent choice and would unhesitatingly recommend Mr Anand to others.

A year ago, when we left London after Ben’s second knee surgery, Mr Anand asked us that he would like to one day get a picture of Ben playing sports, as we had hoped he would be able to do. I wanted to share a quick update with him through you as a way of saying thank you. Ben has started high school and made the freshman basketball team at his school earlier this month. He is so excited to be able to play. He had a few minor dislocations this fall, but with bracing and a new physio regimen, his knees have really improved and he has been able to play basketball without further problems. We are grateful for Mr Anand’s help and care.

Mr Bobby Anand is SIMPLY THE BEST. I cannot thank him or recommend him highly enough. From our first meeting at North Downs hospital, I knew without a doubt that Bobby was the absolute best Surgeon/person that I could ever find with his superior knowledge and caring manner I had a full Mako robotic knee replacement (my knee is called Mak, Roboknee), just over 5 weeks ago. I am walking well with very little discomfort and can do stairs etc and have a very good range of movement in my knee. There’s hardly a scar at all. After months of excruciating pain prior to finding Bobby, I am finally feeling like myself again and looking forward to dancing round the kitchen again, ( I promise, not just yet though!) Thank you, thank you, thank you, you are a life saver x

Thank you very much again for all your wonderful care and kindness over the last few months. My life has been transformed by my new knee. Without your knowledge, skill and expertise things would be very different for me and my family. My recovery continues to go extremely well and I'm really enjoying getting back to 'normal life 'I can now walk a good distance and have started driving again.
