Ben is an amazing surgeon who you can see takes pride in what he does. I was lucky I was stable at the time and able to wait for Ben to become available after he was recommended by another surgeon. So the wait in hospital was certainly worth it as Ben did an amazing job.
And to top it off he is a genuinely lovely man

Mr Ben Hornung is amazing surgeon, he is so lovely kind, caring man and 5 stars is not enough to say what I feel after my surgery.
He explained everything to me and I felt that he was the best ...And he is!!!!!
He really knows and loves his job....Thank god for people like Ben.
I was lucky to have Ben do my surgery......should have 100 ⭐️

I was in for a hernia in my right groin - my 3rd. This was by far my best experience. From initial assessment through surgery to aftercare, I could not have had better. the key for me is bedside manner and information. No matter what surgery you have, you are nervous and Mr Hornung explained everything clearly with all the time I needed to digest the info and ask questions. Highly recommended.

Referred to Mr Hornung for surgery .He explained everything he was going to do and put me at ease as I was having major surgery.
His attention to me was excellent.Very caring Doctor .
I knew I would be ok in his care.

Having undertaken specialist higher surgical training in the North West, I then completed a laparoscopic colorectal (keyhole surgery) fellowship in Yorkshire. My interests include surgery for bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, hernia surgery, proctology and pelvic floor pathology.
