I am a fellowship trained Consultant Spinal Surgeon
I saw mr way in September through BUPA and chased his staff regularly for an update but was regularly ignored, I finally got a curt and dismissive letter today from him which was unprofessional and more importantly completely uncaring I have two bones rubbing on each other in my spine which is causing me a great deal of pain and he showed zero interest. I am now seeking real help.

Listened to me as well as looking at the MRI! Good clear explanation of the options . Successful surgery. Can't thank Mr Way enough. And I am a retired doctor!

From my first consultation I cannot rate my experience highly enough. I found Mr Adam Way to be thorough, knowledgable and consultative. And also really pleasant, friendly and helpful. Every question was answered in details and with extreme professionalism and patience. Thank you again for all your help

So far I am still waiting for my surgery. I had a single missed call from Mr Way's secretary because apparently regular people can't work normal 9 to 5 jobs and then Anne contacted my parents house. Didn't leave any sort of message but gave a number to call back on. I tried to call back everyday 4/5 times a day and received something along the following lines: Anne, Mr Way's secretary is currently away from their desk. Please leave a message or contact the appointments line for appointment inquiries. As I was unaware of the reason Anne wanted to contact me i left a message explaining i am not always able to answer calls at work but would be on the look out foe them over the following few days. I received nothing from Anne and kept trying to get through myself, receiving the same voicemail message. When I finally got through after 4 days of trying I received a very rude response from Anne informing me I had missed out on the current appointment chunk. However, she made no effort to contact me again even though I said I would try and keep an eye out. Anne made me feel very upset after this phone call and had no empathy. I am currently off work because I cannot cope with the amount of pain I am in. Nothing is currently working. My doctor has tried writing letters and calling. All I want is a booked appointment at any time. My workplace are understanding and will let me take the time off I need. All I want is a date and now I am being pushed back because of a single missed phone call. I feel as if I am being tortured because I work full time and I am in that much pain. I need this sorting as soon as possible and I don't seem to be getting anywhere from the person who can actually do it. My surgeon and his secretary.i feel let down and honestly disappointed.

I saw Mr Way in May 2016 and on my first meeting with him he made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. He went into detail about my condition and once he asked me at the end did I have any questions, I had to say no you have totally covered everything I needed to know. I saw Mr Way again in June to do my operation which was a vertebroplasty and again he made me feel so relaxed and comfortable and ready to undertake my operation. I could not ask for more from Mr Way. I felt that Mr Way had gone up and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable. My operation was a total success and I was very happy that it was done by Mr Way. I could not of wanted or asked for a better doctor. I would highly recommend Mr Way to family and friends and anyone who had back problems. Mrs J Morris

Mr Way has an exceptional consideration for his patients over and above what you would expect from a surgeon. He truly has the patient's best interests at the heart of his decision making and is an exceptional character. I thoroughly recommend anyone with spinal problems to arrange to see him.
