Personable, friendly and I really felt he listened to me despite me being the last patient of what I expect was a very busy day.
We have only been in Calne since 13th March and apart from an initial introductory appointment to the surgery this was my first visit. I had a blood test first thing (which had to be taken from my foot for medical reasons). whilst there I discussed with the practice nurse a recent problem which she dealt with by arranging an appointment with the doctor for a short while after. I had been with my old surgery nearly 40 years so they knew me well and I was therefore unsure of how today would go. I have had a variety of complaints over the years some more major than others but I can say I was very pleased with the way I was treated both during the blood test and with the doctor. Having had cancer twice before and whilst I do not make a big thing about it myself, when something happens it is there at the back of your mind (particularly my husbands) and you are therefore trying to ascertain what the problem might be but any questions I asked were answered succinctly. I felt very comfortable talking through things with them.
(The selection box below was not very helpful in my case as I discussed two of these issues though not as a direct link for my unknown current problem).
Only been with the practice for four and half years after 30 years with my previous Dr. up North. Couldn't wish for a better doctor who listens and tries to sort problems out.
Would recommend this practice 110%
He had insight - he obviously knew what my concerns were without my having to tell him. I certainly was in a more relaxed frame of mind after the consultation.
I saw Dr Church about a lump I had found in an intimate place. I explained that I was anxious, both about the lump and about the prospect of an examination. Dr Church could not have been more reassuring, respectful and understanding. He also took the time to explain the likely cause and suggested I book a follow appointment which I could cancel if the lump disappeared as he expected it might. Happily, he was right.
