I have had 2 appointments, in recent weeks, with Dr Denny. Dr Denny provides treatment that is caring and compassionate whilst being efficient and analytical; exactly what you want from a health care provider. Dr Denny is mindful of cost to the client and I believe that I have received, not only excellent value for money, but an outstanding level of professional care. I say this from the perspective of someone who has struggled for many years and has seen numerous professionals who haven't come close to the prompt effectiveness and person centred approach offered by this doctor. Following my first appointment a diagnosis and comprehensive summary were sent promptly to my GP and to my home address. A concern arose in my second appointment and within the hour Dr Denny had followed this up directly with my GP. Dr Denny offered me a holistic treatment plan that considered medication, psychological support and practical elements, the application of which have already improved my mental and physical health. I have no doubt that my diagnosis and assessment from Dr Denny will help me to find appropriate effective support in the future and that my physical and mental health will continue to improve. I wish I had found this doctor 10 years ago.

Profile

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist. I was an NHS Consultant in Adult Mental Health for over 20 years and now work privately.

I trained as a doctor at Bristol University. I have a degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Psychotherapy. I became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1996 and a Fellow of the College a decade ago.

I make sure my patients receive a comprehensive assessment and appropriate treatment. In addition to prescribing medication, my psychodynamic approach helps to understand how past experiences relate to present difficulties. This can often be the key to recovery.
