Dr Leech is simply excellent! He takes the time to explain exactly what is going to happen, in as much or as little detail as you want. He won’t overwhelm you, he will just make sure you are comfortable and calm! He put my port in in July and today he took it out! Both procedures were stress free and he was such a professional throughout. His theatre had music and lovely assistants, creating a calming environment. Honestly can’t thank him enough and want you know that if you are having this procedure and a worried, don’t be! You’re in the best hands!!

There was a confusion about my appointment. Initially I was booked for another for a Picc line but was not told not to take the anticoagulant drug the day before. The appointment was postponed. I was rung by a member of staff to be told that I could have the procedure done on the Friday at 1 pm. It was going to be done by Dr Leech and I could chose port or Picc line. When I arrived at the reception I was told that I am an hour late. Of course I was surprised and could not understand the situation. Dr Leech saw me and although he had full timetable he kindly agreed to do the procedure, inserting the port, as I wished. I was very pleased to get this particular part of the treatment completed on the day. I am very grateful for his kindness and attention.
