"Dr Leech is the best! He is obviously extremely experienced, but still has humility when dealing with patients. He was very reassuring. The sedation used when inserting the portacath was so welcome. I’m sure I must have been talking a lot of rubbish whilst ‘under the influence’ but he is so nice, I’m sure he didn’t mind. I do hope I have him again when the time comes to remove the port. I know I will be in excellent hands, and I feel very privileged to have been treated by him. "

I have just had a port fitted by Dr Richard Leech. He explained the process in detail and discussed options to me. He listened to my concerns and helped me to decide the best option. I explained I had a wedding tomorrow so he went above and beyond to make the area look neat and tidy so can wear my outfit. What I thought would be a stressful experience wasn’t at all and I hardly felt a thing….Thank you

Dr Leech called me personally, as I was nervous and he was able to steady my nerves!

Dr Leech was extremely pleasant and polite. He introduced himself and his colleague and explained the procedure in a manner that was easy to understand without being condescending. He let me know of his extensive experience in his field which instilled great confidence in me. The procedure went well and the sedative was extremely effective. Dr Leech had a pleasant manner and the procedure went as smoothly as it could. My arm was a little sore after the first attempt at inserting the cannula did not go quite as planned but the second attempt was pain free. The scar from the incision itself was tiny and extremely neat. Overall the procedure went very well and I would be more than happy for Dr Leech to perform further procedures in future.

Dr Leech explained in full detail the procedure and put me at ease. He answered any questions I had and did not rush his answers, he gave me his full attention.
