I have seen Dr Craig on numerous occasions and he has helped me enormously. I always find him to be professional and friendly and ready to listen. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who requires help in this field.

This doctor is suave self assured, cold and without empathy. His 'assessment' style is to take a chronological view of your entire life in a 50 min hour whilst not looking at you and rapidly typing on his laptop. He charges £500 for the privilege. His report in my case was fraught with errors including my name spelling, my referring GP whose name didn't exist, the date of the report which was incorrect by a year and the condescending 'labelling' of my family members which was also incorrect and deeply offensive. I would not recommend this man who seems more attached to his laptop than his patient. Even his secretary is as cold and curt as he is. Definitely would not recommend Dr. Craig. Very disappointed. Save your health information surance funding or own money and go with a doctor who actually listens and is constructive in helping you move through a period in your life when you need support.

I Saw him (briefly) for depression. first appointment he double booked me and kept me waiting 2 hours. Then when I did see him he was condescending and abrupt. Tried a second appointment with my wife present (at his request) because I did not want to make a judgement based on a single meeting - after all everyone can have a bad day. However he was no better. He did not give me answers to my questions and kept dodging them, rather than dealing honestly with my concerns. Essentially his approach was 'I know what is best for you and you don't need to know the details and what is involved in any treatment plans'. Essentially treating me like a young child. Lastly he recommended I see my GP and pursue a specific part of the action plan, then when by GP challenged the approach I relayed, I asked him to confirm this was his suggestion with my GP and he refused. This does not make for a great environment to build trust. He is very highly qualified but seems to have forgotten that his patients are actually people with real lives, families and commitments outside of seeing him. In summary if you want to work in partnership with your doctor, to address health issues, and be able to trust him, I would recommend finding someone other than Dr Craig.

Psychiatrists seem to use their computer a lot these days, so as they supposedly treat you, they are entering details, which make them seem distracted. However, they still don't seem to have time to recall details about you, when they bother to take such an extensive history in the first instance. This has been my experience of Dr Craig and another psychiatrist in recent years- new technology psychiatry. It seems like an academic process. Found him distracted and a bit cold in manner- made assumptions based on stereotypical ideas. Well educated obviously, but as with mental health problems, it may be my particular response to him and you may have better luck. Psychiatrists focus on the medication and seem to have little interest in day to day details of how one has to cope with particular difficulties in life and how side effects increase this difficulty and to me he was no different.
