I recently experienced a bad psychological episode due to some episodes going on in my personal life. I was seriously overwhelmed. After a very low night I saw Dr Mcevedy the following morning. I immediately felt calm in his presence, and felt he whole heartedly listened , considered and responded well to me in my, in all honesty, pretty ill state i was in at that moment in time. Through his empathy , rationality and expertise on thought processes he was able to give me a pretty solid direction in which to go in. I have now see him on three separate occasions and am thoroughly pleased that i saw him and continued my meeting with him up to this point. I am in a hugely better mental state right now, and may very well see him in again later on in the year to have a check in and review a few things. Thanks again Dr Mcevedy

The level of care could have been improved. Although he was pleasant, I didn't feel fully understood by Dr Chrstopher McEvedy. I would therefore not be able to fully recommend his services.

Dr McEvedy is highly experienced and knowledgeable. His approach with patients is empathic and caring. Dr McEvedy is frequently involved in the management of clinical problems of great complexity and his response to these is effective, imaginative and highly valued by colleagues (both in his discipline and others), of whom he is very supportive.

Dr McEvedy is a considerate and knowledgeable, and has excellent assessment and care-planning skills. He is able to engage well with patients and is able to effectively and efficiently identify they primary needs/concerns and assist them in addressing these is a therapeutic manner. As part of the Liaison Psychiatry service he has assessed and treated patients with a wide variety of symptoms and illnesses. The patient group he has supported are from the ages of 18 years old upwards, and he has cared for patients experiencing illnesses such as depression, substance misuse, personality disorder, conversion disorder, psychosis, mood disorders, factitious disorders, body dysmorphia, eating disorders as well as a multitude of other conditions. I would recommend he as an excellent psychiatrist, who will provided patients with excellent care.
