I had a phone call with Dr Perryer to talk through smear test results as I never received my results letter but found out through the NHS app that my results were abnormal, which understandably worried and shocked me. Dr Perryer told me my HPV vaccine obviously hasn’t worked (?? this was pretty shocking to hear) and when I became upset during the call and explained I have health anxiety as a result of working in cancer care, she responded with ‘Yeah I can tell’. She then told me to just wait a year to be retested because ‘it could probably be one of the low risk ones anyway’. I feel totally dismissed and patronised, and didn’t feel comfortable asking any of the questions I had prepared. I do not feel reassured and am planning on switching GPs following this disappointing and upsetting experience.

An excellent doctor who gave me a thorough consultation. Generous with her time and very good follow up by the medical practitioner. Restores one's faith in GP services.

Over the last 12 weeks Dr Perryer has acted promptly in referring for urgent care at the hospital. She has been kind, caring and willing to listen to me especially when I hit a very low point. I recommend her care and professionalism highly.
