Dr Ahmed Mayet is a caring, pleasant and enthusiastic GP who is forward-thinking. He works in innovative ways to give the best care to his patients within the constraints of the NHS. -He lloks at his patient holistically, taking into account past medical history and remembering to ask for an update -He requests investigations only as needed and refers appropriately to other agencies -He is vigilant in his medication reviews -He is a good communicator and inspires confidence by being up-to-date in current issues, by being able to explain about conditions and he is willing to answer questions -He empowers his patients to look after themselves and his self-help list of relevant websites is very useful However, obtaining appointments to see him can be a problem. Emergency appointments or waiting for weeks seem to be the only options. Dr Mayet looks after us very well and we feel supremely safe under his care. He is an asset to your surgery.

I have been a patient at Fern House since 1966. My original doctor was Dr Foster. Since then, I have had to see whichever Dr was available. In April, this year, I needed to see a doctor. I was offered an appointment with Dr Mayet. Thank God for that. He is superb. I will not see any other Dr. I would rather wait for an appointment ( as I did when he recently went on holiday ). my medical condition is one that needs regular appointments with a doctor. He always takes time to listen, refers me for appropriate treatment, and, t generally gives me excellent care. A friend of mine, who is a nurse, said " he can save your life ". She is 100% correct. I cannot thank you enough for making me feel a person, and, not just someone to be rushed through, as quickly as possible.
