I feel Dr Mayet is very patient he takes time to listen and check symptoms. I think he is particularly good with my children and I will always ask to see him first if my family need an appointment. He has reassured me on many occasions when I have been worried about my childs or my own health.

Dr Mayet is always willing to listen and discuss my problems thoroughly before making a decision on the best way to help me. Dr Mayet considers his options and then discusses these with me before deciding on a plan of action of how to treat me taking into account whether he feels I need further tests or I need to see a consultant.

After seeing another GP for my continued symptoms, and getting nowhere for well over a period of about 6 months, I decided to see Dr Mayet as he was recommended by my father. All I can say is that I wish I had seen him earlier. Rather than palming me off with 'it's a virus', Dr Mayet took the time to listen to me. He suggested a few things it could be, and gave me some information to look up on the internet. In the meantime, he arranged for full blood tests and a pelvic scan to be carried out. The results were back within a week and the surgery phoned me straight away to arrange another appointment for me to come in and get my diagnosis. I now understand why I have been feeling so run down over last few months and at last have a clear plan of action of our to help my symptoms.

Dr Mayet always takes time to listen, acts fast and gives good clear advise, in my opinion he goes that extra step in helping you and always shows an interest in you as a person and at the same time encourages his patients to use all of the facilities available, for example he explained the pathfinder system for prescriptions, which was an enormous help for me and made it so much easier to collect prescriptions, which at the same time helps him and other staff members save time too.

I was unsure at first but as we have had more appointments (for my 8 month old daughter) we have received good care. Dr Mayet has listened and allowed us to try out different medecines until we found something that suited her. I feel that I can take her back to see him anytime. :)
