My stay at the hospital was excellent in all aspects. I suffered from significant pain levels for the two days after my operation and the staff dealt with everything with a calm and confident manner during both day and night. I hope to be at the hospital for my next operation.
I used the service as a diagnostic for ongoing pain and mri and xrays wast hen referred back to the nhs I was luck to have family that covered the cost, without which i feel i would still be no further on.. I was seen in 2 days had the mri and xrays within a week and diagnosis within 2 weeks. there are others who are not as fortunate as I who just couldnt afford to do this.
It is a lovely hospital. The staff are caring, courteous and professional. Whilst being very efficient it is a calm and peaceful environment. I actually enjoyed my stay which I am sure contributed to my recovery.
Staff ware very caring and friendly. The hand therapy care post op has been exceptional.
My only comment was that there were no mirrors in the bathroom so I was unable to have a shave.
Thank you to all the nursing and ancillary staff for looking after me following my knee replacement. I could not have been cared for any better or with greater respect and dignity.
I had my procedure carried out at the three shires hospital through the NHS it really was up to expectations thank you so much.
I had a very positive experience under the current difficult circumstances.
My mother had a replacment hip. The pre-operative and immediate post operative care was excellent. The discharge and post-discharge support from the ward was less good, although the situation was made more difficult by Covid restrictions. My mother is elderly and was disorientated after a major operation and needed support following discharge. The discharge process seemed rushed. There was a hand over done at the front door and insufficient time was spent explaining post operative care to the person who collected her. I am sure things had been explained to my mother but she was too disorientated after a major operation to take it all in. The hospital should have know this and taken the time to ensure key messages were understood by the family. There were complications with the wound dressing and the advice received from the ward was not consistent with instructions from the consultant.
Without question all staff, from the surgeon Mr Ratliff, through the secretary Sue Harrison, all the threatre staff, nurses and everyone who keeps the place prestine and covid free. They were friendly, caring and very proffesional. Thank you all.
