The hospital service and staff were superb.
The Hospital staff were highly trained to support me with my surgery. I was happy to be in their care whilst I was in hospital.
Kind , considerate and extremely clean hospital - the staff were great and wanted to get me up and about as soon as safely possible.
They provided ample dressings for my after care on leaving Spire.
They coordinated my transport with the care home - everything went seamlessly.

Was very good.
Great staff, great environment and really efficient
All staff I met were kind and helpful
The anaesthetist came for pre op with someone else’s notes. It was some way into the discussion before he asked about my pre existing MS before it became apparent. If the other patient had been in more similar health to me I dread to think what would have occurred. I did pre op online and follow up call and blood tests only to be called to attend for another blood test and some repeat questions involving another lift to Southampton ( an hour plus each way ) at very short notice as ‘hospital procedures had changed ‘. It was hugely inconvenient. After operation I was told not to be in pain as it affected BP so in the night I asked for some more pain relief but was told I needed to keep to the schedule & to wait! The discharge briefing was muddled as incorrect info was given about follow up dates and so all had to be rebooked before I left. My post op meal was too much food and I picked at it. A chance visit from staff pointed out I needed to have eaten the crisps provided( I thought it was a mistake and had left them) to help recovery so I then ate them. A better briefing would have helped.
Staff friendly and clean room.
Fantastic hospital. Absolutely everyone was kind considerate and skilled in their positions. Great care given. Thank you.
The doctors were excellent. Theater nurse was also very attentive. Recovery nurse was very kind and patient. Staff nurse on the day of admission and overnight were amazing. Staff nurse in the morning was just very keen to get me out of the hospital. Rushed discharge summary and wrote back pain - when I didn’t actually suffer with this, he was new 4 months in to the country and probably still learning. The room was ok, nothing exceptional. Surfaces of room’s furniture were not particularly clean, the side drawer and room telephone were sticky. The drawer had a lock but it was not functional. Foods amazing quality - fresh salad, hot soup and endless supply of hot drinks on demand.
