Initial DN very comprehensive visit, organised prescription for pressure sore and did urine dip - she was excellent.
Excellent service and guide. Very professional and can be trusted
Clare and Laura were so amazing with my daughter. Really made her feel so relaxed and at ease. Wonderful treatment. Thank you so much ladies, what a team you are
Kind friendly professionals who visited Dad to ensure his new bed and sensor mat was working well and correctly for his needs. Explained some physio exercises to do and also made an effort to show us how to transfer him from the wheelchair to the car! Also pointed out some useful products we could buy for this purpose. Wonderful service. Thank you.
The service was very informative and the therapists that visited mum at home took time to explain things to her. They were very patient with her and special thanks to Teresa who was very empathic and communicated well with mum and myself
The person i was talking to patiently listened to me and was very professional and did my assessment in the most simplest way that i fealt the most comfortable with them.
Our son was diagnosed with very severe CAS in October 2023 and we started DTTC therapy privately in Jan ’24 (aged 4 & 4 months) due to no support being offered by the NHS. Before starting therapy our son Will had no words and due to the effectiveness of the therapy he has made incredible progress.
When the evidenced based therapy for severe CAS is DTTC why has Oxfordshire chosen not to offer it? Why has Oxfordshire chosen not to support this therapy when other counties have? I understand you provide Nuffield but this is for children with moderate or mild CAS.
Why please did our son’s NHS SALT report for his EHCP assessment state that that the service being offered by the NHS meets his needs when it doesn’t (agreed by his speech therapist)? His speech therapist (Jemma Whitton) didn’t write this on her report so who included it please and why? The EHCP is a legal document so if a mistake has been made please can this be addressed urgently.
If the NHS/local authority continue not to be able to provide for children with severe CAS please can his private DTTC therapy be funded by your service?
I feel incredibly let down and penalised for living in Oxfordshire. I would be very grateful please for your help with these questions.
Jemma Whitton has been a fantastic support throughout the last couple of years. I of course do not see it as Jemma’s responsibility that the Oxfordshire SALT team have decided not to provide DTTC therapy and I am very grateful for her help. Her service has been excellent.
I look forward to hearing from you.
It was really good
Very helpful and great with my child
