Difficult to review really as I never even got a reply to my query. Phoned seven days ago. Receptionist was very vague and didnt seem to have a clue when I said I was looking for prices and information about vitrectomy surgery. She said she would speak to someone and get back to me the following day. I’m still waiting.
As a medical receptionist of 40 years, its not hard to take a note of my name and phone number and follow up the query!
Needless to say, I’m sticking with the NHS.
I have always found Albyn super efficient and totally professional .
Over a 2 year period I had surgery on both of my knees.
The entire process went very smoothly, from intake to the operation and physio I could not have asked for better treatment
excelent
The only downside to BMI Albyn is that it is not suitable for disabled people who cannot manage stairs or wheelchair bound. Otherwise fantastic care by staff whom are very helpful in every way.
I found "The Albyn hospital" in Aberdeen to be first class in all aspects and would certainly recommend it to all family and friends. The staff were highly professional at all times and kept me duly informed. The hospital was scruptiously clean and was very well organised as regards appointment times, would certainly use again in the future.
Great service
I am still to this day 20 months after blepharoplasty in constant pain and discomfort and the results have made my eyes worse than before.
And trying to communicate this with the surgeon who preformed this on a number of occasions, at follow up appointments was the most distressing thing I have ever been through Ive left his office in tears, made to feel I was over exaggerating my symptoms and he could not get me out of his office quick enough.
This surgeons skills both surgical and patient care need to seriously be looked into.
