Waiting 40mins for the phone to be answered , not getting to see the doctor that knows your history .

After being in discomfort for 3 weeks, I attended the surgery to book an appointment. I was told nothing was available for a month and to use the wonderfully effective Doctor Link. After jumping through many questions which were totally irrelevant to my situation, I received an email to say I had a suspected chest infection (pneumonia) and ear infection and should be seen within 24 hrs. Quick as a flash, 5 days later and still not having any communication from the practice, I once again went to the medical centre where I was told "Sorry, no one's picked up your case"...Brilliant! I was then told I would have an appointment the next day. Yaaay! No! It was the day after. Eventually after getting an appointment, I spent less than 5 minutes with a Dr who told me to pinch my nose and blow. Alexander Flemming wasted his time!

A message came on my phone at 8.45 a.m. asking me how my appointment was. Considering my appointment was at 12.05 I couldn’t reply. As it was I was not very well and tried to ring the surgery to cancel my appointment. What a laugh, after 30mins had to put phone down and run to toilet. Tried again …after 45 mins had to run again. Finally after another 29 mins, literally 4 mins before my designated appointment I managed to get through. No wonder Patford House Partnership is on the list for bad service etc.

Cannot fill in any of the above as my appointment was a telephone call for a medication review. The three stars I have indicated are a polite middle ground as I have not attempted to make an appointment although I understand from reviews that it would be easier to burgle Fort Knox than arrange an appointment in double quick time. However Mel Hayward Dr Church’s PA, has been extraordinarily helpful and so has Laurie the pharmacist. Both highly professional and attentive to my condition and the medication I take..
