I was in need a a right hip replacement in the spring of 2016. My Dentist who is a good friend together with his Doctor wife recommended that I contact James for a consultation. He has many years of experience as a hip replacement surgeon and is highly regarded in both the NHS and private healthcare. The first operation was a complete success thanks to James skills. Then in December 2021 I had my left hip replacement operation which has transformed my life overnight. No walking aids after three days. James has a wonderful calming approach to his patients and is a true professional. In short just a lovely Guy. Thank you once again. R

Had a fall in 2020 and fractured my acetabulum, which Mr Gibbs mended with great success. November 2021 Mr Gibbs did a total hip replacement as the trauma in 2020 had given me post traumatic osteoarthritis in same hip. I had a consultation, and Mr Gibbs who explained everything clearly and I only waited 4 months for this surgery. He made me feel very calm and knowing he was the surgeon I felt very safe in his hands. He has very good doctor to patient skills and I feel so lucky he was my surgeon. Very nice man. No improvement needed as gold standard service.

I saw Mr Gibbs through the Nuffield hospital in Haywards Heath for issues with my knee, Mr Gibbs showed me that my patella was bone on bone and it would benefit from replacement , but that the rest of the joint was ok. I went ahead with the surgery . Mr Gibbs was so calm and explained the procedure and what would happen and how long recovery should be . I feel very lucky that all went as he predicated and I now have a almost fully working knee again . having seen him again yesterday and now signed off and confirmation that the exercises will strengthen as time goes along. Mr Gibbs has been up front with how long recovery would be and I am so pleased with how things have gone. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Gibbs to anyone looking for a great surgeon in his field.

Mr Gibb is very professional and caring always putting his patients at ease. In 2019 I was in a lot of pain in my right hip and knee, not really knowing which was the worst. In July 2019 Mr Gibb did a total hip replacement followed by a total knee replacement in the November. I recovered so well from both operations so much that in 2021, when I was in temendous pain with my left hip and knee I asked if I could have Mr Gibb to do the operations. I had a total hip replacement in August 2021 followed by a total knee replacement in November. Now 6 weeks after my last operation I am recovering well and so grateful to Mr Gibbs for his expertise and care he took with all my operations. I would have no hestation in recommending Mr Gibb. I now feel like the bionic woman and very grateful for a successful recovery.

After a fall from height in 2016 Mr Gibb put the right side of my pelvis back together. He introduced himself to me before the op. His manner was calm, quite and very professional. He explained the op and how things would be for me afterwards during my recovery. I felt relieved and confident in his ability. Everything went well.***** This year Mr Gibb gave me a hip replacement. I was very nervous about having this done because of my fear of dislocation. Again Mr Gibb made me feel comfortable about the op. His manner was friendly and reassuring. Again all went well. I was only on crutches for a week and life has improved dramatically. I am pain free and have total confidence in my new hip. I will be eternally grateful to Mr Gibb for his dedication to his profession, his knowledge of new technology and, of course, his care. I would recommend Mr Gibb without hesitation. The hip op was at The Spire Hove. Excellent *****
