I have been a patient of Mr. James Gibbs for about 11 years now I have had my both knees operated by him. He is diligent, approachable and has listening and communication skills he really knows what he is doing that is why I kept going back to him for his excellent work. I highly recommend him, if you have problematic knees or hips there's your wonderful consultant, I have been there believe me I know.

I had problems with walking all the time as my legs and hips were very painful. I thought it was the menopause but after having a X-ray Mr Gibbs said I needed two hips replacements. I’ve had my first one done and I am very happy with how much better I feel already. it’s three weeks today and I am progressing well. My second one is in a few months time. I highly recommend Mr James Gibbs. From the first initial consultation to the very end he has been very reassuring, professional and kind. I know my quality of life is improving already.

Mr Gibbs inspired confidence from the start. Of course, I looked at his record and experience on line before I chose him, and was impressed that he also worked for the NHS, but I do believe that his listening abilities are what distinguishe him from the field. He felt to me like a 'normal' person, having a chat, which is important for reassurance. I had both hip replacements done with him, in quick succession, and he was always courteous and cheerful. My hips are coming along nicely!

I chose Mr Gibbs based on his experience and profile from the Nuffield website. Having now had my operation, I cannot speak highly enough about the experience. Mr Gibbs is a great consultant, professional, friendly and makes you feel comfortable with the process all the way through. Would recommend to anyone looking for a knee surgeon.
