Compared with the treatment I received at Goring Hall my consultation with Mr Gibbs was a wonderful experience.
He took time to explain my last X Ray & listened when I gave information. My neighbour recommended him & I am so grateful. I would recommend him to anyone needing respite from inadequate care elsewhere
I am waiting to have a scan before I see him again. He is a totally delightful consultant

I first encountered Mr James Gibbs four years ago, when he was reccommended to me, for a Total Right Hip Replacement. The procedure went very smoothly and with excellent results, so it was without hesitation that I returned to him in June, for a Total Left Hip Replacement.
Once again I found him to be very kind and considerate, as I was more anxious this time than four years ago! But I need not have worried, the operation went well, and now, after just four weeks, I am pain free and able to walk unaided.
James Gibbs is a good listener, and was very understanding of all my worries and concerns. I can throughly reccommend him!

Mr Gibbs has performed total hip replacements on both my hips in the last 15 months. I highly recommend him. He explained everything very clearly and never makes you feel rushed. He has a very kind manner too. The care at the Nuffield Haywards Heath was also wonderful and comprehensive.

I am delighted with my left hip replacement from James Gibbs . He was very attentive to my care throughout the procedure. He also lengthened my leg which had been shorter since 2010 when my right hip was replaced. A million thanks for that !! I can walk bare foot and without and shoe raisers to worry about. So I’m very happy with the op.

I cannot recommend or thank Mr Gibbs enough for his care. His level of expertise alongside his excellent communication skills meant that I could go forward with a complex knee replacement procedure with absolute confidence.
Having had several bad experiences in hospital in the past it was very refreshing to find someone who was really interested in me and my mobility issues. I never felt rushed and I always felt I had been listened to and my concerns taken seriously. Detailed and clear explanations of options and procedures also helped to build my confidence at a time when I was feeling very anxious.
This operation has not only changed my life but it has renewed my confidence in the medical profession. I will never forget the kindness and understanding shown to me by Mr.Gibbs.

Mr James Gibbs MB BS, Msc, FRCS (Tr & Orth) is a Specialist Consultant in Orthopaedics & Trauma in Surrey and Sussex specialising in hip, knee and sports injury conditions. He is one of the region’s leading Robotic Surgery experts and is an invited speaker in the field.
He regularly manages hip and knee conditions along with sports injuries. He performs above average numbers of hip and knee replacements including Robotic surgery, partial knee replacement and hip resurfacing. He is also a specialist in redo joint replacement surgery. He also performs key-hole surgery and ligament reconstruction for soft tissue and sports injuries. He has an interest in joint preservation treatments for arthritis such as visco-supplementation and corrective osteotomy surgery.
