Dr. Adeola Buluro is a seasoned General Practitioner and an accomplished Occupational Health Specialist with extensive experience in healthcare management, emergency planning, and occupational medicine. Operating in diverse environments from the bustling cities of the United Kingdom to the dynamic regions of Nigeria, Dr. Adeola has consistently leveraged his expertise to improve workplace health and safety, enhance medical operations, and contribute to community wellbeing through strategic volunteer initiatives.

Dr. Buluro’s clinical proficiency covers a comprehensive range of disciplines including accident & emergency, adult acute medicine, surgery, paediatrics, orthopaedics, occupational medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, and psychiatry. This diverse expertise allows him to handle complex medical scenarios and deliver holistic care to his patients.

Dr. Adeola began his professional journey as a House Officer at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where he honed foundational skills in a rigorous medical environment.

Since then, he has amassed over a decade of experience across various roles including Senior Medical Officer at Gold Cross Hospital, Clinical Observer at Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust, Senior House Officer (Orthopaedics) at the Princess Royal University Hospital and more prominently as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist with companies like The Co-Op (UK), GMT Energy Resources Ltd (Nig), SubSea 7 (global), HealthPartners (UK), Nigerian Breweries (Nig), Marine Platforms Limited (global) and Occupational Health Prime (Nig).

He is an experienced General Practitioner (Family Physician) and has provided service to several high net worth private individuals and corporates in the private sector. He also works in the NHS and has served over 50 different health facilities inclusive of GP surgeries, out of hours , walk in centres and Urgent treatment centres.

In his current roles, he serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Occupational Health Prime in the UK and Nigeria, and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Your Excellent Health Service in London. His responsibilities include developing occupational health policies, conducting comprehensive health reporting, and managing healthcare services tailored to diverse workforce needs.

Dr. Adeola’s professional certifications span a wide range of critical health areas and include certifications in Aviation Medicine from the Prestigious King’s college London, Travel medicine from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and several Nebosh certifications in Health and Safety Management. Through these skills, he was able to play a pivotal role in leading his team at Occupational Health Prime to achieve the prestigious ISO 15189:2012 accreditation for SARS-CoV-2 sample collection activities. These competencies have enabled him to offer strategic oversight in various healthcare settings, ensuring both compliance with health standards and the promotion of optimal health outcomes.

In 2003, Dr. Buluro played a pivotal role in the establishment of a medical health centre in Nigeria, utilising the Bamalo initiative. This project was aimed at providing complimentary medical advice and treatment to underprivileged communities, thereby addressing healthcare disparities and enhancing the well-being of marginalised populations.

A passionate advocate for community health, Dr. Adeola has been actively involved in several volunteer projects that underscore his commitment to health and wellbeing. Notable among these is his role in the Homeless Prevention Working Group (MKHP), where he contributed to primary care services for the homeless population in Milton Keynes. His efforts were instrumental in the rollout and administration of health services in partnership with local health centers and charities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Adeola planned and oversaw response plans for organisations like Marine Platforms Limited, demonstrating his capability in emergency preparedness and response. During the EBOLA / COVID Pandemic he was involved in the sourcing Initiative with CDC and Senova re for EBOLA Lateral Flow Assay Test Kits.

Additionally, his work with the 2008 Integrated Measles Campaign in Nigeria facilitated widespread immunizations against measles, showcasing his ability to manage public health initiatives successfully.

Beyond his clinical and operational roles, Dr. Adeola is also a committed worship leader and entrepreneur, roles that reflect his holistic approach to health and wellness. His leadership in musical direction at JB Summit Music School aligns with his overarching vision of healing and community support, providing a unique blend of artistic and health-focused initiatives. He leads a christian group of worship leaders with multiple meetings across the year.

Dr. Adeola is also an accomplished former Boy Scout who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest level in Scouting. His leadership skills and dedication to community service were internationally recognised when he was nominated to represent Nigeria at the 18th World Scout Jamboree in the Netherlands, (Dutch: 18e Wereldjamboree) which took place from August 1 to 11, 1995.

Dr. Buluro is fully registered with the General Medical Council and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and he continues to be committed to excellence in general practice and continuous professional development.
