All my care was excellent.
Nursing, doctors, all staff kind, helpful and explain and prepare you for every stage.
Its hard to know how it could be improved.
Congratulations!
It would have helped if I had more exercise in hospital.
Care was generally excellent. Outside of this the issue is having to wait 12 months for an operation & prior to that, 8 months for a consultation telling you that you need an operation - totally unacceptable.
When I was discharged I wasn't told by ward staff that I would be taken to the discharge area - I assumed I would leave the ward when my lift arrived. However a Porter arrived to take me to the discharge area & I had to rush to pack my belongings while he waited. If I had been properly informed I would have packed in readiness.
At the discharge unit there was a long delay waiting for Pharmacy to deal with my medication & discharge staff advised me this was a common issue - this needs to be looked at & stream lined.
The staff are all approachable, friendly and supportive towards your needs.
From observations there were times the teams weren't at full capacity and although this didn't stop the enthusiasm of the team left, it was clear they were exhausted in trying to look after all the patients and babies.
Very friendly caring staff who made me really comfortable.
Even the ward was very busy I was still given good attention when I needed it.
Sorry about writing but having broken my right elbow I am writing with my left hand.
Great.
