Review of Antenatal Clinic SGH

I was seen by the most loveliest staff members today. Midwife Jennie and Dr Roy we’re so kind to me and couldn’t do enough for me and my baby. They both listened to my concerns and made sure everything was okay before leaving. They both took their time to make sure they had done through all my notes and had the information they needed so I didn’t feel the need to start from the beginning! Jennie even put my pregnancy notes all together neatly for me, such kindness.

The care I have received for my new condition has been perfect, my only concern is not receiving my medication for my heart condition.
Suggested improvements
I have not received one Nicotin patch since I came in this hospital even though I have stated I have been told to stop cooking. I am not happy about receiving my heart medication.

Wednesday 3rd was the best day for communication. Doctor on monday, Tuesday was difficult to understand what he was meaning and whether he was joking or not!
Suggested improvements
Communication from doctors to nursing team and myself re diet restrictions and plans./nNot everyone introduced themselves with the name.

Unfortunately had a six hour wait in A&E waiting for a bed after being told was being admitted.
Suggested improvements
All I can say allt he staff work very hard and is noting to much for them- I was well cared for.

Why I gave the answers to the questions, I felt I was treated with full dignity and respect by all the staff I always got an answer in anything I asked./nThe hospital and ward were very clean. I was kept up to date at all time by the staff most of the staff were above and beyond to help me from start to finish.

Staff nurse and care assistants were brilliant at their job./nMiscommunication with the doctors not telling in detail about my condition of why am I kept overnight when it was just supposed to be a day clinic.
Suggested improvements
Better communication by the doctor and patient - so the patient knows what is going on. I felt myself asking all the relevant questions to get my answers - and that was to the nurse because I felt the doctor was too busy.
