Treated me very well and with dignity and respect and good sense of humour, I could not have asked for better treatment.
Thank you for the lovely feedback, I am sorry that you did not have more notice than n you did in relation to discharge, but unfortunately we do not get a lot of notice from external services as to when they can put home care in. We have just changed our processes on the ward to help highlight this to patients, to help them be more informed.
My mother was seen in the memory clinic and the appointment was on the whole very disappointing.
I thought we would be seen separately so that I could discuss family concerns without upsetting my mother and this did not happen.
I had to speak in front of my mother so could not voice all of these concerns.
Her weight and BP were not checked despite being told that she was not eating and was neglecting herself.
Mum was discharged as she had only dropped 1 point on the test. Concerns about how she managing at home were ignored and I was informed that it was "a social care issue"
I appreciate that services are stretch but was left feeling very unsupported.

Fantastic help advise and care.
I have been a patient of the gender identity clinic 2016-2021 and have been given the best possible care from this hospital. The kindness, understanding, and respect was shockingly good from the get go which sadly was not the case in most other medical providers I was a patient at. The nurses and doctors had up to date knowledge and I am eternally grateful and thankful for what they have given me physically and mentally. I have been discharged from this service as I have got the treatment I needed but would fully recommend the GIC to anybody. From the receptionists to the psychiatrists they have all been very polite, kind, helpful, supportive, knowledgeable. Thank you to Dr Tickle, Dr Timmins, Dr Ekanem and all other staff
