Mr Sauve, thank you so much for my care. You are very personable which makes discussion of my treatment easy, informative and consultative of myself which ensured that my treatment was holistic and tailored to my needs. Jan & Jon in the plaster room were lovely and took the time to listen and respond to my concerns over my plaster, they tailored it to do the job that was needed making sure I was comfortable. My right hand being my dominant hand needed to be fit for the future which it is now, so I can now get back to playing the piano and ringing of church bells, I promise I will look after the work you have done, I know it was a lot thank you.

In 2014 I was diagnosed with left thumb arthritis which was very painful at the hand clinic. I was under the care of Mr Sauve who I found to be a very understanding of my concerns of the future use of my left hand. I am a 67yr old male and very active. Mr Sauve was brilliant and went through every detail nothing was too much trouble he answered all my questions. after another consultation it was decided I would have a trapeziectomy I was very apprehensive about having this done. I had the operation on 28th November under a nerve block in day surgery and as ever Mr Sauve was very reassuring and I was totally as ease with him (he also has a humorous side). On the day of surgery his team were excellent and very professional. I was in plaster for 2wks then had the stiches out -at this point I had movement in my hand- then put back in plaster for a further 4wks after which I now have full use of my hand and no pain this is all due to Mr Sauve and his professional skills. Mr Sauve discharged me on the 5th February. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Sauve he has a friendly professional attitude and is someone who will listen to you. I can't thank him enough.

Philip Sauve is a truly nice genuine man. He is kind, attentive, considerate and listens to what I say. He is always friendly and chatty and I have complete faith in him. As a patient I feel that I am more than a number and Philip Sauve remembers things I have said at previous appointments. Working in the Health Service myself and having lots of patients we see I know the bonus of having records of what patients say and things that have happened to them but Philip Sauve seems to go the extra mile in retaining conversations. A thoroughly nice surgeon, a pity they are not all like him!
