I was under Dr Sampat’s care since my miscarriage in summer 2022 until I have birth to my daughter in February 2024. I am extremely grateful for the care I was given by Dr Sampat who was aware of my extreme anxieties about my c section given my history with previous pregnancies. The months leading up to the procedure he continued to provide with the support and reassurance I needed and committed to carrying out my c section personally. On the day of my c section Dr Sampat went above and beyond to ensure he was there to carry out my c section personally and deliver my daughter safely. I will forever be extremely grateful for his commitment to this on the day and am confident that if I were to be blessed with any further pregnancies that his duty of care would remain the same.

Just had my 2nd baby under the care of Mr Sampat and again he went through all possible choices and listened to what us as parents wanted to do. As a patient with a heart condition most consultants would send me to St Thomas' in London but Mr Sampat knew exactly how to deal with my condition in pregnancy and went through everything step by step. We found out baby wasn't growing as she should but Mr Sampat put me at ease with everything he went through. In the end it was decided a c section would be the case as baby was transverse and I was disappointed as well as nervous at my first cesarean but he went through everything in detail and put me at ease. He made the decision that I could go ahead with a natural labour if baby turned and planned an ultrasound on the morning I was due to give birth. He did the ultrasound that morning and baby was head down so gave the go ahead for induction but unfortunately baby turned half way through the induction process so I ended up with a cesarean. After the birth Mr Sampat came to the ward to see how I was doing and to meet baby and speak to me about recovery. If I ever have more children in the future I will have Mr Sampat as my consultant again.

Mr Sampat was really informative throughout. Following my diagnosis, I became quite nervous about the birth, but Mr Sampat was great at explaining everything and made me feel as though I was being listened to. I particularly appreciated how he came round to see me on the day of delivery.

I birthed my healthy baby daughter on 19th December 2023 at 38 weeks & 6 days. I cannot thank Dr Sampat enough from the care I received during my pregnancy to the delivery of my baby. Dr Sampat is so patient, kind, caring and his knowledge & explanation is impeccable. Nothing was ever too much, he is super reassuring & he was very thorough during the entire process & liaised amazingly with St Thomas hospital, due to my heart condition. Even though I didn’t have my first C-section performed by Dr Sampat, I wish I did! This is my second C-section I am pp 5 days & the entire experience has been different & I feel so well within myself unlike the first C-section & that is all down to Dr Sampat. If I decide to have more children I will 100% make sure I have Dr Sampat as my consultant. Even though for now we have parted ways, Dr Sampat still wants to know the end result of my heart surgery, he is the only consultant I have had who has gone above & beyond! I cannot recommend him enough, he is truly amazing! Thank you from The Borg Family x

Dr Sampat delivered my baby in July and I simply cannot recommend him enough. From the first meeting he was kind, caring and compassionate and this continued whilst under his care. He answered all of my questions and made me feel validated and supported. On the day of my c section he put me at ease and was simply fantastic. His team were too. After the traumatic birth of my first child Dr Sampat has restored my faith in the NHS. If I have another baby I want to be under his care again. I cannot thank Drs Sampat enough.
