Explained everything clearly and research backed. When taking another route explained why he changed his course of care. Follow up by him was very good explained all to my husband as I was indisposed. Took in to consideration what the stoma team said so stoma is placed successfully and asked whether I wanted the stoma reversed he did not assume my care pathway.

From the minute I met Mr Gnananandan I felt safe and reassured. He was kind and listened to me and made very good eye contact which is something that is very important to me. This gave me the reassurance I needed!! He took the time to draw a diagram to explain what he was going to do and explained the procedure so that I could understand what was going to happen. Before the surgery he came and saw me and after the surgery as well and was friendly and professional throughout. I can’t thank him and they team around him enough

Mr Janakan came to the ward & introduced himself & how my procedure was going to go. He was not rushed and listened to my questions which he answered happily. After my operation he came to see me in the ward again no rush. Very confident & knowledgeable. No one wants an operation but if you have too, having a surgeon of Mr Janakan's standing will surely help you get well & keep.positive.
