Being listened to in the light of ADHD diagnosis felt overwhelmingly positive after 40+ undiagnosed. Olufunso, my prescriber, was efficient & diligent throughout. There was a mechanical element to titration when conversing only through the portal (nuances involved in wanting to try a second medication type - which ultimately proved to be the right move), but in actual conversation (phone, when needed), she was hugely empathetic and helpful - I see this as an unfortunate symptom of scale of workload, due to NHS not having systems in place, so private clinics buckling. So the patient, as ever, needs to stand firm and push the system to deliver the best result. Dr Rao was equally empathetic, supportive and thorough in the initial assessment and equally so in supporting choice to try alternative medication. Given the challenging workload all must be under, I've felt supported, heard and cared for throughout, it's hugely appreciated.

PUK has been a lifeline for me. From start to finish, the service has been incredible. Don't get me wrong, waiting times were a little longer than hoped but FAR shorter than the standard NHS route (I accessed PUK through RTC). Dr Emma Fisher & Dean Tipton have been incredible and made this whole process smooth. Dean was fantastic during titration, and didn't stop till we found the right medication/dosage for me, and took me seriously when I reported any side effects I was concerned about. I couldn't recommend the service enough.

Doctor Samual Yates was fantastic with my ASC assessment. It was so lovely to speak to someone so understanding and patient. He was so considerate throughout it explaining things fully and ensuring I understood. It was also so refreshing to speak to someone clearly very knowledgable about the neurodivergent brain. Psychiatry UK have been so fantastic throughout this process so both ADHD/ASC assessment. I would highly recommend their services as they have been so thorough to very high standards not missing details and regular communication. This has been life changing for me and I can not thank you all enough especially Samual Yates.

Generally, I had a great experience with Psychiatry UK - I have undergone titration for ADHD medication through this service and I felt that they listened to my needs and provided attentive and considerate care. However, I would just like to note that the online portal and medication review process, in general, is quite challenging and inaccessible for someone with ADHD. In order to complete a medication review form you have to find the portal website, which is different from and not linked clearly on the main website, remember your login details and password, then find the code that is sent to your phone, remember it and copy it correctly into the portal, then find the correct form in a quite confusing and user-unfriendly interface, only to then have to gather all the correct information (weight, height, blood pressure etc) to fill in the form. I'm not sure if this can be improved since I understand the need for security while being a remote service, but it is exhausting at times. Still, thanks to Psychiatry UK for good care and treatment despite these challenges!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this whole experience; its been much easier and far less stressful then I was expecting. The service I've received has been exceptional and I've felt supported and guided through the titration process with kindness and understanding from my Nurse Practitioner Lisa and I felt listened to. I'm incredibly grateful for her support, it made this journey; one I never expected to be on at 44, a far less painful experience than I could have hoped for. Taking medication has positively impacted all aspects of my life and I only wish I'd known I had ADHD years ago. Life would have been so much easier.

(Referred for ADHD assessment) It was definitely not a short wait for assessment or titration. However, the wait time was far shorter than what I would have had directly through the NHS, so I'm happy that this is available for NHS patients through Right to Choose. My assessment was estimated to be at least 7 months after my referral was received, but I ended up getting an appointment within 5 months. After assessment, I waited approximately 4 months before I began titration. They are great at following up if you miss a phone call, which takes away a lot of the stress of referral and waiting for an assessment. I always got a text, email, and a note added to my account saying they called (and the reason why). Everyone I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and professional. They were happy to offer a range of times and dates to get one that was actually suitable for me. Evening time-slots were also available for assessments, which was great, as it meant I didn't have to take time off work. The doctor I spoke to was also very good, and he was quick to respond to any questions I sent. (Won't put his name as he has since left) Titration was also a very positive experience. My prescriber was Wioleta Cholewinska. I felt that all my thoughts/concerns were taken into account during titration, and she was quick to offer alternative medications when I was having problems. I had a lot of opportunity to write about what I felt was good/bad about the dosages/medications and I think this really helped to minimise intolerable side effects. Overall, it was definitely a positive experience, with a shorter wait than I expected. I began titration within 9 months of first speaking to my GP, and I understand that Psychiatry UK are working to grow the titration team in order to see patients quicker. Can't really fault anything, everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and willing to help.

I felt like I was in great care with Psychiatry UK. Only issue was they told me my titration period would start within a month, and it didn't start for another 3-4 months, however I was also seen by a consultant much earlier than I had expected.

The wait for my initial assessment was a little lengthy, but not ridiculous in the grand scheme of things. Following some internal issues with my original consultant - no fault of the service whatsoever - I had a friendly virtual reassessment with a new consultant. Pleasant, kind and incredibly helpful. For the following medication 'titration' I was placed under the guidance of a prescriber who I communicated with fairly regularly via the patient portal. My prescriber was faultless in her ability to guide and answer questions, a real help in the initial stages when I was a little unsure of what to expect. Can't fault it.
