Service could t have been better. From initial diagnosis right through to feeling stabilised on medication. This is very obviously run and staffed by people who really care. This has been a journey for me and I have been supported all the way.

I want to thank Psychiatry-UK on their exceptional service, making an adult ADHD diagnosis attainable for the many people. I am beyond grateful for the speed and professionalism my case was handled, after dreading going through the NHS process and the wait times I was expecting. The whole process from start to finish was informative and efficient, everything was explained so well, and the format was very accessible (the ease of the portal, frequent reminders through text and email when something had been sent though and the whole process honestly. It seems everything has been thought about to make and ADHD service actually work for those with ADHD!). Communication was always prompt. Prescriptions always organised and sent on time. Ash Shishodia and Claire Meadows have been exceptional, and have made all the difference for me in my diagnosis and treatment. The Psychiatry-UK service second to none, thank you for everything you do for us. A diagnosis and treatment has been truly life changing for me!

I felt quite distressed knowing that I can't speak to anyone on the phone just to clarify a few things. From side effects to how I need to take the meds and what I need to do to keep up with the program. This organization should know that neurodivergent people need very clear and detailed instructions. And I don't think the instructions given to us accommodated for this. I'm grateful for the treatment but sad this is one of the only viable options right now.

Overall a great experience, a prompt diagnosis and was quick to discuss a treatment plan and medication options. Some miscommunications regarding end of titration treatment, but Dr was understanding and took the time to explain what the next steps were.

I found the entire process incredibly supportive. It took a while to be referred, however once I got through I was seen very quickly. I found the process also incredibly thorough, and although it was difficult to answer some questions and bought up a lot of memories and issues, the depth of information required reassured me that they were doing their due diligence and making sure that my diagnosis was thoughtful, thorough, and correct. The wait for titration was long and this was somewhat stressful, as I was unsure of what medication etc. Once I got into the titration process my prescriber was attentive, thoughtful, encouraging, and responsive. She was really great, so thank you personally Ceri. Overall it was very positive.

After years of struggling and adapting to fit in with others, my wife started to wonder about my condition. She pieced together information, watched videos, and received anecdotal evidence from a friend who has gone through the same process and had recommended I choose Psychiatry UK. After discussing things further with with my wife, I came to a huge realisation that I may have ADHD. I approached the NHS, who confirmed my suspicion and referred me to Psychiatry UK. I must say, the experience has been nothing short of remarkable. My initial consultation was with Dr. Balu Pitchia, and it turned out to be an enjoyable conversation. He shed light on certain aspects of myself that I had never considered exploring before. Dr. Balu confirmed that I do indeed have ADHD, but he also identified certain aspects of ASD that were revelatory. He took the time to explain many things about myself, my childhood, and the psychological factors that aligned perfectly with my experiences. He helped me understand why I had gone so long without seeking help, discussing various aspects of my childhood and addressing the stigma associated with seeking help for children with such conditions. Dr. Balu was truly amazing — articulate, professional, and willing to engage in a lengthy discussion to help me understand and answer any profound questions I had about ADHD and ASD. Next, I waited for the titration process to begin and was eventually introduced to my Titration Nurse, Tracie-Anne Simpson. Just like Dr. Balu, Nurse Tracie has been incomparable in supporting me on this journey, and I am extremely grateful to her. Her patience, respect, and care have been astonishing. She promptly addressed any questions I had, even at unexpected times, making me feel supported and never alone during the process. The relief of knowing that any question I had would receive a timely response was invaluable. We tried various medications, including Methylphenidate, Lisdexamfetamine, and Atomoxetine, and eventually found that the short-acting version of Methylphenidate worked best for me. This conclusion was reached after I provided feedback, completed necessary forms, and shared my blood pressure and weight results, allowing us to find the right medication with the optimal balance and minimal side effects. To say that my life has changed would be an understatement. I cannot adequately express the clarity I now experience compared to before. I can effectively harness my hyper-focus and complete tasks from start to finish without procrastination. I have become more confident and articulate, as my memory limitations no longer hold me back. I can recall information instantly, rather than needing to repeat things in conversations. The most significant improvement, which I had previously struggled with, is learning. I have always found it difficult to grasp new concepts and had to rely on anchor points in separate subjects to understand connections. However, learning has become infinitely easier for me now. Coupled with the ability to direct my hyper-focus instead of letting it run wild, I can effortlessly read, code, plan, build, and explain things to others. It almost feels like I'm cheating compared to others. It's incredibly liberating to have this advantage after feeling disadvantaged for so long. I cannot speak highly enough of the service provided. While the medication has been incredible, the service itself is equally brilliant. I wholeheartedly recommend Psychiatry UK to anyone who is going through a period of self-discovery and wondering about their own condition. The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate. You are kept constantly updated and in regular contact. Of course, you have to put in the effort yourself when given tasks, but if you genuinely seek help, they will do everything they can to guide you in the right direction. Not only will you learn a great deal from them, but you'll also receive genuine care and support. No question is considered a stupid question, and you can expect answers around the clock. They will take care of you and ensure you achieve the best possible outcome. To everyone at Psychiatry UK, with tears in my eyes, I express my heartfelt gratitude and profound thanks for everything you have done. I can only wish you the best as you continue to help more people in need.

I had a wonderful time from start to finish. My Doctor and Prescriber have been phenomenal throughout the entire process and have kept in constant contact and been available to answer any and all questions I've had. They respond quickly and frequently, and I cannot stress how beneficial this has been for me. I'm so grateful for everything that they have done, and I will always be recommending Psychiatry UK to all friends and family.
