I was treated with kindness and respect by every staff member I was in contact with, I felt incredibly well informed about each stage of the process, and never went without communication of some kind from my prescriber for more than ~2 weeks at any point. Can’t praise this service enough, particularly given their high volume of requests, they handled my case promptly and I was treated like an individual not just a number on a waitlist.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. I found everything from the website portal to the forms to be very straight forward and clear in what they wanted me to do. Communication between me and the staff using the internal notes system was a little delayed (but understandable since they are swamped) and waiting on a phone call after the forms were completed was nerve racking, but you just have to remember you haven’t been forgotten and I would take that any day over the ridiculous 3 year wait on the NHS. In total, from GP referral to being diagnosed, my process took a total of just under 4 months which is amazing.
As for the assessment, in every other medical setting I’ve felt extremely rushed, spoken over and pressured into being quiet prematurely or hardly listened to at all. I’m never given a chance to express myself, dig deeper than just answering questions superficially or feel safe enough to really accomplish anything. I know other people with ASD can relate so I was a nervous wreck going into this meeting fearing the same would happen. I’m delighted to say that was not the case here. Dr Babak ArabShahi made me feel safe, validated, appreciated and like I didn’t have to apologise or fight to be understood. I take a long time to organise my thoughts and get to the point but during my assessment, that was never made to feel like a weakness or an embarrassment. He’s the perfect person to open up to as someone with confidence issues and now ASD; the very picture of calm, kind and gentle in his approach and I couldn’t thank him enough.

I have felt safe, listened to and respected throughout the entire journey with Psychiatry-UK. I cannot praise them enough for how I've been treat. They're incredibly thorough (which was a worry when it came to medication for me, but they consider EVERYTHING before prescribing medication and then have the structure of regular, routine checks on top of that).
Personally, I've finally been given answers I've been in need of after 30 years because i was actually listened to and spoken to as a person and not just a checklist.

I was treated by Psychiatry-UK under the right to choose. The treatment I received was fantastic. The specialist I spoke to during my assessment was professional and understanding and the titration team were really accommodating when working out my medication needs.
I was diagnosed with ADHD and was given a lot of information to help me ease into my new reality. The information and help given has encouraged me to seek further investigation into potential autistic traits and assessment which I am also looking to use PUK for because of the great service they have provided.
The only criticism I have is the waiting period for assessment and treatment but that can't be attributed to PUK but the state of the health industry as a whole at the moment. PUK were very open and forthcoming about the waiting times and were often on target with the times they stated if not quicker.

Dr Owen Roberts was great at making me feel comfortable during my assessment. I was really anxious at the start but felt at ease speaking with him.

I started treatment with them for ADHD. I was on titration for about 12 weeks and the experience has really helped me. Not only when it comes to finding suitable dose and medication for me to help my quality of life but also in the interactions I've had. They have listened to me and always been happy to answer questions. I feel like I really have had a great experience with this service and I would recommend them to anybody whom needed support like I did. I finally felt validated.

I think that the medical staff was superb. I do feel like the technical apsects of the platform and also the CS involving could be improved.

This service was professional, caring and efficient.
Dr Lakshmanan was very helpful, empathetic and through. I felt time was taken to understand the impact of my symptoms and explore all possibilities before i was given an ADHD diagnosis. I was then supported by the same lovely practitioner, Sally Newport. The on going support with the same practitioner was reassuring and helped establish a working relationship until the right medication and dosage was found. Sally was patient, caring and helpful. I would definitely recommend this service, Sally and Dr Lakshmanan. Many Thanks to you both.
