Recently had a laparoscopic hysterectomy with Mr Pickersgill and very happy I picked him for my surgery. After being under the NHS Gynae for 8 years with heavy bleeding and pain I was listed for an abdominal hysterectomy. Due to previous botched surgerys on the NHS my insides were a mess and the NHS would only do abdominal. Due to my lack of confidence in the NHS and the long wait I decided to go private and picked Mr Pickersgill. As soon as I met him I felt completely at ease and had full confidence in him. He agreed to attempt laparoscopic and was confident he manage this even though he knew my insides were a mess. As expected the surgery was complicated but he managed to carry it out keyhole which I am over the moon about. I had some complications after my surgery but the care and attention I received from Mr Pickersgill and all the staff at the Alex was outstanding. My recovery is going great and I truly believe that is down to picking an outstanding surgeon. I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I ever had any future issues. He is very down to earth and really makes you feel heard which I haven’t had in the 8 years back and forth on the NHS! Also a shout out to his secretary Gabby who has been great from me first contacting her. Thank you Mr P ;)

Good doctor. He is very simple and gentle in his behavior. He will give sufficient time to each patient. He studies the patient and disease meticulously. He prefers surgery when it is very much required only. I strongly recommend Dr Andrew Pickersgill. I’m wishing all the best to him and to his team.

Cannot recommend him enough! Fantastic Dr. From my first consultation, I instantly felt trust with him. Very genuine, very down to earth and lovely person. And i will be definitely going back to him if I have any other gynecological or endometriosis issues in the future.

Mr Pickersgill performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy for me in February. I cannot fault the care and attention from him and his team. He took time to listen and advise. I would not hesitate to recommend him. The staff at the hospital from the reception on arrival, the porter who took me to my room, ward staff and theatre staff were kind caring.and very informative.
