Amazing service from Alana at boots George street. She helped me for over 45mins to download the boots app & advantage app. I had a voucher that you could only use to order online. She was patient & amazing,a credit to the store. Thank you Alana

I’ve never in my life written a review about anything but I feel a responsibility to others who may, like myself, have to collect a daily prescription and as there’s not much choice regarding pharmacy’s on a Sunday I’ve not had much choice but to use this branch of boots. Please don’t! If, like me, the medication you have can cause withdrawal or side effects that are uncomfortable if you don’t get it, then please do not trust this pharmacy. For 2 out of the last 3 weeks they have been unable to open due to not having a pharmacist on site. And although it is due to open at 10am you just know if it gets to 10.05am and they are still closed you are going to have issues. Every single week on a Sunday I am 50/50 as to whether I’ll be getting my medication. Is this what it’s come too!? What really gets my back up is, like today, the manager came out at 10.15am to tell everyone waiting the obvious, that a pharmacist has not turned up, BUT her next comment really told me what I already suspected, her words were, “I’m just going to start making phone calls”!!!! What, 15 minutes AFTER you are supposed to open!! Now I’m not a manager of a store, but knowing just how important their service is too so many, and knowing every week it’s touch and go as to whether a pharmacist turns up, why wouldn’t thoughts phone calls start 15 minutes BEFORE you open, obviously they all get to have a nice day off whilst patients like myself are left chasing their much needed medication. My only positive comment would be that at 10.30am I managed to get the manager to return my prescription to the mother computer so I could grab it from another branch, which was North Street. And that branch is like entering the South terminal at Gatwick!! The manager at George Street branch is always polite but I can’t help but think she is way out of her depth. Putting all your hopes of a comfortable day on a pharmacy that may or may not open on a Sunday is not what you need. So if anyone reading this has the same situation as myself regarding daily prescriptions then please do not use this pharmacy. Maybe Boots North Street but if you were to use that one you’ll need to get there at 10am, an hour before it opens or you run the risk of being in the queue so long that you may not even be seen before they stop for lunch at 1pm! No I’m not joking, 2 weeks ago I walked in there at 12.30pm and taking their 30 mins lunch into account, I walked out there with my prescription at 2.50pm!! DO NOT USE GEORGE STREET!!

When both my wife and I were suffering with flu before a month long trip abroad, the pharmacist was able to recommend and provide a number of products that made the recovery significantly more comfortable than we could have hoped for.
