I visited store on Thursday, 9th April 2020. Trying to find Bio Oil I called the attention of a member of staff. Her reaction was so dramatic & so over the top as she told me “don’t come any closer, don’t come any nearer”, my response was I’m more than 7ft away. She shooed me to move as she walked towards the aisle I needed. Admittedly I smirked/chuckled in disgust. Why? I had just completed a 36hr duty at St Georges Hospital (well aware of social distancing) where as frontline staff we do not have the level of protection now being worn by staff at Boots. I am one of those medically trained who was called out of retirement & have done so happily. I am registered disabled with underlying issues and so more at risk from this member of staff than she was from me. The incident didn’t end there!! When called to the till, this member of staff preceded to engage with another customer....rolling her eyes & looking in my direction as she stated loudly “so glad that someone appreciates what we are going through on the frontline”. I held it together. On leaving the store & getting into my car which was parked directly outside in a disabled parking space, this member of staff came to the front of the store (inside) where she could clearly see me & continued ranting to a colleague whilst strutting angrily & looking at me. I have never ever been treated so badly at this store. This member of staff (a mature lady) is a disgrace to the Boots brand & clearly needs further customer service training.

Used to be a superb friendly efficient pharmacy with useful late hours. In recent months gone downhill completely and all the regular staff have left suddenly - one wonders why? Most recent experience was appalling and chaotic and judging by other customers at the counter I was far from alone with serious complaints. More the one week to fulfil balance owing - lost prescriptions no phone calls or texts as promised and store management having to help at the counter due to lack of staff. I do not believe that store management really has the authority to partake in dispensary activities. Do not use this pharmacy under any circumstances. One fellow customer was expecting critical medicine for her ill daughter having used the last of her prescription and it had not even been ordered despite being told it had.

I'd recommend this Boots because it is open late, and this has been incredibly useful a few times. I felt we had to wait far too long, but the pharmacist seemed polite and professional.
