All the staff from front of house to the optometrist were very happy and good sense of humor a joy to visit

I popped in to the store today as a lens had fallen out of my glasses. Mevin kindly fixed and adjusted them for me. He even offered to do the same for my spare pair. Thank you so much for going above and beyond.

I have only needed to wear glasses for approximately 10yrs, and I have found members of the Boots optical team very polite and helpful at all appointments. I foolishly did not respond to my invitation's to attend for a renewal eye test, and was then very surprised to learn that almost 4 years had lapsed since my last check up. But my previous records were intact, and my eye test showed that I needed to be referred to the hospital for further pressure checking. My optician Andrew, was extremely reassuring and informative about glaucoma and I now feel less worried and anxious about any further checks and tests ahead-thank you. An exceptional member of the frontline team is Jackie. I had been very unhappy with my previous glasses which had led me to barely wear them, but had foolishly been too embarrassed to return to the department and explain my disappointment with them (indeed I very nearly changed vendor-thinking I might possibly find cheaper/better glasses elsewhere!!) But her patience and help today was amazing-and I know she did everything possible to reduce costing for me, (although no discounts or goodwill compensation could be awarded due to the length of time since my earlier frames were purchased). However, I now feel confident that this time I will be very satisfied when my new glasses are collected in a fortnight. I sincerely hope that the optical manager is aware of her outstanding customer care skills because without her attention at my visit today I would definitely have been tempted elsewhere for the actual purchasing of the new frames now required.-

Appointment system leaves a lot to be desired. Boots phoned to cancel my first appointment because optometrist was ill. He made a new appointment for me but when I turned up, the new appointment was not on the system so yet another appointment was made for 11am. I even got the practice manager to check the appointment. Yet when I turned up I was told the appointment was for 11.20!
