The appointment was really quick and convenient. It was my first appointment in years and the experience was very positive. I went in my lunch hour and they were ready on time.
It wasn't ideal. The staff were running 20mins behind, and did apologise so that's fine. The optometrist was lovely - wonderful manner - can't remember whether she gave me her name, but she was great. I was handed over to another staff member whose bedside manner was a bit gruff, but what was annoying was that I was told later that she took two pictures of the inside of one of my eyes, rather than a picture of the inside of each eyeball! This got forgotten about so I didn't get the test re-done. I was handed to a third person, another optometrist I think, who did my sight test and spotted the two photos of the same eye, but when she took me upstairs there was no one free to give me my prescription etc. The staff were all with other customers. I waited for a while, and a new member of staff offered to make payment and apologised for the delay - so no problem. But then I had to ask for my prescription - there was no optician available to sign this off, so I waited again. When I got back to the office, I saw that I'd been given the eye test prescription but not the contact lens prescription. I phoned and, as this could not be emailed to me (?), I had to go back to the opticians to collect the lens prescription. I'm not bothered by delay- it happens and the star did their best- but the eyeball photo thing and having to ask for my prescription, then not getting it all and having to return (why isn't this info just put straight onto an online account??), that was annoying. Please give your staff the support they need.
NOTHING EVERYTHING IS SUPERB 5 STAR SERVICE
Very attentive, explained the process, thoroughly explained the results and the photos captured during the eye examination. Very friendly and informative!
I was rushed out of the appointment room, even though my appointment started on time. During my appointment, I felt the Optometrist was in a rush to finish my appointment as quickly as possible, maybe she was hungry and wanted to go on lunch! I was told my appointment would last 20 minutes, but she managed to condense it to 10 minutes and rushed me out of the door. I didn't have time to collect my bag and coat before leaving. I was not impressed, that's not a way to treat a customer.
