I booked a contact lens check at Boots in Paternoster Square several days before my appointment and advised them that they needed to obtain my prescription details from the Redhill branch. When I arrived for my appointment they had failed to do this beforehand and the Redhill branch was closed. I was then given an eye test of sorts and told that I would have been given lenses for long distance sight only and that Redhill would have told me I would need reading glasses, which I was not. The appointment achieved nothing and I had to re-book for the following morning and was told I probably needed an eye test as well. When I attended the appointment I was told that my lenses were varifocals so that I should not need reading glasses and that I did not, in fact need an eye test. The whole thing was something of a shambles and I am still waiting to hear about my new lenses following the appointment 6 days ago...

I was cold called to make an appointment as I had not been in some time which is fine but I'm not happy about having to dump my lenses after wearing them for only two weeks (they are monthly stay in lenses), I asked to have a container and I found it laughable that an opticians did not have a clean container for me to put my lenses in considering I was asked to come in wearing the contacts and was not told I would be discarding them . Now I'm down 1 pair but luckily I have my glasses this was just for a lens checkup and note an eye exam which was not made clear when the appointment was booked since I was told it might take up to an hour but the whole appt only took 5 mins and -1 pair of good lens

The appointment was great all round. The lady who oversaw the initial eye tests was very helpful and efficient. The Optometrist, Niraj Nathwani, was brilliant and really listened to some of the problems I've had with prescriptions in the past. Then Greg was also brilliant at helping me choose frames. I'll be back to the store early in the week to order sunglasses.
