I was with one practice which shut down so I was transferred to another which I attended once. The first one re-opened in a different location and I received an appointment reminder. During the appt it transpired that the lenses I was wearing did not match the records. To cut a long story short I was incorrectly called for a check up as the letter was generated based on my last appt at the first store and my records were not current as they did not include the appt at the one I was transferred to. I phoned to complain when I discovered this and we managed to ascertain what my new prescription should be based on the lenses I was wearing which matched my missing prescription which I had a copy of at home. The optician said she'd get my records from the other store but she didn't really acknowledge that there had been a major error with your systems and that I had come for an appt 3 months earlier than I needed to.
