I had a terrible time adjusting to Varifocals at first, particularly when using my laptop on a stand. But Jill and Kerry helped me work out the height of my desk & stand, and distance from screen, then adjusted my glasses - twice - and encouraged me to persevere. It worked!
Everyone was polite, helpful and respectful. However I would like to make one helpful sugestion. When choosing frames I forgot that without my own glasse on I can see very little. I felt rather stupid when looking in the mirror but having not a clue as to what I looked like. I asked if there was any facility to enable me to see myself in the chosen frames. I was told "Only a magnifying mirror." I. did not think that would be much use and was disappointed. Fortunately I remembered that I could ask the staff member to take a photo of me with my mobile phone. Perhaps staff helping patients choose trades could offer to take a photo with the patients mobile phone.
After going to the Woking store previously, we were told that certain things couldn't have been done and we would have to make extra visits back and forth to purchase some glasses as I hadn't had my prescription. Natalie, in the Hastings store, went the extra mile for us to help us with our prescription and rang another opticians instead of us making extra trips to the store. She was very helpful and told us everything we need to know whilst being so friendly and welcoming. We left very happy customers after talking to Natalie!
I found the staff extremely polite, professional and helpful.
The optometrist was also reassuring (as I had had something hit my eye) he couldn't have been more professional or helpful and informative. (Ravi)
Full marks, highly recommended.
Will always return to Boots in future.
Good care by staff but initially the on line appointment failed as there was no record when I first attended. Staff managed to fit me in due to a no show appointment.
