Everything went really well until it came to payment and advantage points. The website states I will receive the awards and as I get 10 points to the pound I thought it worthwhile spending additional money on extras. However, Boots only give 1 point to the pound not the 10 I was expecting. When I queried this the staff shrugged their shoulders and didn't know the answer. I spoke to the manager who phoned advantage who told me that it states on the website that I would only receive 1 point. When I asked where she told me in the FAQs I explained I didn't look at those because I didn't know I had a question. You could feel the shrug on the phone. This is out of order and will put the matter on Facebook and which magazine. I am really disappointed with Boots and you had done so well.

My eye test was to obtain a free set of glasses after a year returning to the store. On multiple visits, I complained about my glasses, but was always told the prescription was ok. My eye test confirmed that my eyes were similar to a previous test. This suggested that I did not need new glasses last year and I did not need to spend a year with glasses that impacted on my day to day life. The assistant manager was the first person to offer a remedy 15 months after I first complained. I am disappointed that I had to wait all that time before someone listened to me. I have received a new set of glasses and a 50% refund for one pair. However, this should not have taken so long. I am disappointed in how this was managed until recently. It demonstrates poor customer service and a reluctance to recognise a genuine complaint at an early stage and resolve it.

A good professional experience. Knowlegable friendly staff. Could be improved by not asking personal questions such what are my hobbies which are nothing to do with an eye test but clearly an attempt to harvest additional data.
