The optometrist suggested that the only way she could improve the slight lack of sharpness in my vision in certain conditions was by giving me a prescription for cataract removal, and she seemed dismissive when I refused. I have been told for a number of years by your optometrists that I have mild cataracts and reassured by them that surgery should not be necessary. I accept that a prescription change would not correct things but left feeling less than confident in the visit.
