My nurse Jenni Unsworth was very thorough and empathetic throughout my ADHD titration. If I had any concerns or questions she would talk me through them and provide clear answers. She was mindful of my changing personal/medical needs during titration and helped me make appropriate adjustments. My titration was done carefully and not rushed, thus I feel I have gotten the best results possible. I am very happy with the treatment provided by Jenni. The medical and interpersonal aspects of treatment were perfect. The only concern I have is written below: My GP surgery directly misinformed me that I did not have the 'Right to Choose' because my condition was psychiatric. I didn't know any better, so gave up trying to get an NHS referral until Jenni advised to do so mid titration. After requesting a referral and providing P-UK sources, nothing was done; they later admitted they simply didn't understand 'right to choose'. I believe if admin/contact information was sent to GPs (similar to those provided for pharmacists during titration) this process may have been easier. I would definitely recommend my nurse Jenni Unsworth to anyone struggling with ADHD. I'm especially chuffed with how well my titration was managed in relation to my (relatively young) age, and chronic health needs! This is one of the few times I have felt completely supported/respected by a healthcare professional. My life has changed and I am grateful.
