Jackie has been involved in the care of all three of my children who have FAP. First as ward sister on the children's ward at St Marks and subsequently as the Specialist Polyposis Nurse. Jackie has been there not just for my children but also for us as parents which is so important when you are dealing with an inherited condition. Jackie goes above and beyond her duty of care, ensuring that she keeps us informed at all times of hospital appointments, procedures and treatment and most importantly she listens and her nursing care is exceptional. My daughter has recently had her surgery at St Marks and Jackie was there from the moment she was admitted through to discharge. Jackie puts her patients needs first at all times and without her support in the anaesthetic room I am sure I would never have been able to help my daughter through the anaesthetic procedure. Jackie is passionate about her role and this is demonstrated in her compassion and kindness and her desire to help her patients through what is often a very challenging experience. I am truly grateful for everything that Jackie has done for us as a family.
