Admirable, dedicated staff seemingly fighting a running battle to deliver quality patient care. It is very clear, from the patient's perspective, that the Care Assistant cohort are understaffed. The evidence for this is found in response times to call requests and multiple events when CAs are visibly 'firefighting' tasks during peak load times, particularly during night shifts. Particularly impressive is the consistent level of professionalism and compassion shown when dealing with aggressive and confused charges. i don't know how they do it - it must have something to do with that often imisused word 'vocation'.
