The treatment I have has been for right hip replacement and I can only say that my treatment has been 5 star by other the staff that I have been involved with. the care before, during and after surgery has been excellent throughout. I would like to say (a bit political and you have my permission for this to be passed on to local and national MPs and the media GIVE THE NHS THE MONEY IT WANTS NOW. in a vote of MPs this should be unanimous regardless of political party alliance. Stop wasting time and money on this Brexit rubbish instead.

I would like to thank dr malek for my hip replacement. I was nervous about the procedure dr malek put me at ease straight away. I can honestly say I had hardly any pain after the operation and was out of bed the next day and not looked back since. I would recommend dr malek to anyone if you have the chance of him doing your operation don’t pass it by. The hip and scar have had no problems at all and I was off my crutches with in two and half. I want to say a very big thank you to him you get 10 out of 10 from me all the best Darren bradbury

I have just spent 10 hours from 6pm till 4am trying to get my wife seen after gp sent letter and request to have iv antibiotics. I knew it would be busy but the chaos. Lack of communication and total lack of basic care was stagering. In a nnd e we waited patiently for over two hours while the Police literally dumped somenoe intoxicated and mayde on Spice or some other drug. He was known but not one nurse/medic came in to see. He looked out of it and half naked. Next we get through to a corridor where we wait over 7 hours. Now during this time no drinks were offered, no nurse or other person came to ask are you ok and only one person came and said its a long wait or apologize. Basic skills were missing and as a nurse of over 30 years i was shocked while we waited. There were elderly patients not in a position to get a drink and complaining of feeling dry. My wife who was the patient asked for a drink and we got one at 2.00 im the morning. Many staff seemed resigned to the fact that this is how it is and I got the sense this was normal. Finally we got a bed and i could not believe my eyes of a mixed ward of young and old. I thought mixed wards had gone long ago. I believe this hospital is good for planned appts but a and e and its basics are missing. 1. Communication. 2. Basic nursing care. 3. Leadership which in my experience comes from the top was invisible. 4. Information about whose in charge and what is happening. I have no doubt the staff care and give everything but the very basics were lacking lazt night

The staff at Wrexham Maelor were fantastic while I had my total knee replacement, I couldn't have asked for better. The food wasn't great .......... but that's a small price to pay for the outstanding care I received during my stay.

I have appendicitis and have been in pain (sometimes severe)since December 17. The hospital has few or no beds available so they book you in for an operation knowing that they will cancel and send you home just so their waiting list figures look good. They have done this to me twice now. I've even asked to have the operation done on a day case but my consultant rejected my request.

I was looked after on Fleming Ward for six days after major surgery for bowel cancer. The nursing staff worked so hard and diligently and all patients received high quality nursing car at all times (day and night). They always had a smile and for that I will be grateful. They very much contributed to my quick recovery with such professional and caring attitude to their work.

The main issue with this hospital is the parking, Luckily I’ve been coming here with my father as he is the one who has been needing treatment. If he had been the one travelling here on his own then he would most likely of missed his appointments. (Have been travelling from 2hrs away so public transport in is not an option). People get aggressive and faustrated while parking and the only option left is to usually mount the curve or park on double yellows, it’s either this or miss your appointments. Fortunately the doctors/nurses are very good at what they do and are very nice. Another issue is people smoking in the no smoking zones (front doors) which isn’t the nicest when walking into a hospital to get a breath full of smoke, and the loos could do with being cleaned more often. Other then that all is good.
