I am not sure if this therapist is right for me yet as only had two sessions. I did mention in my first session that I liked the therapist to look at me then i felt listened to (not the computer screen!) I think it’s most important to feel listened to as the whole point of therapy is to have someone listen… I will see how the next sessions go as the therapist did take note of this and moved the pc to one side!.. I also felt quite raw as opened up and the session finished quickly as had the questionnaire to do so not sure this was helpful to me. I will give it a chance and see how the next session goes but at the moment are not feeling any benefit.

Suggested improvements
I feel from the start the therapist could have spent less time making notes and more time looking at the screen (on a zoom call) The second session a very similar experience face-to-face which i thought would be better but with with typing on the pc and looking at the pc. This is not (in my opinion) the best way if attempting to build a positive therapy relationship. If the client doesn’t feel listened to (ie me) it’s not very helpful and in my view quite frustrating. I did make a point of saying this to the therapist and hope the next sessions are more effectively conducted.
